February is the LOVE month and what better way to celebrate what and who you love by completing a LO featuring...LOVE!!! Scrapville's monthly sketch has been posted on the blog and has a decidedly LOVELY theme. This is my take on the sketch.
There is so much that I LOVE about the photo I used for my LO. Of course it is of my husband, the LOVE of my life, and it was taken while we were in Mexico, and I fell in LOVE with Mexico and it has hearts, lots of hearts, and I LOVE hearts!!!
I used Cosmo Cricket papers, a Stampin'Up stamp (a heart of course), and played around a little with some paint, a bit of mounting, added a bunting-type string of hearts and I wrote a short poem to 'hide' beneath the photo as my journalling. Yet again, I couldn't find any alphas in the right colour so out came the paints and the dimensional magic and...voila...alphas that match!!! These alphas used to be green felt. It is great to be able to make things match by using paints, inks etc. and it also make you feel a bit creative by changing things around a little.
For your chance to win a prize every month go check out the Scrapville blog for details on the LO and card sketch challenges and remember...you gotta be in it for a chance to win it!
Happy Scrappin',
